On Patients
“My goal is to remember how it feels to be in my patients’ shoes when they come see me for a visit. My mission is to provide them with the care that I would want for myself or my family. I want to partner with my patients as we work together to achieve their health goals.”
On Primary Health Care
“Primary care allows providers to care for a wide range of health concerns and be a guide for their patients towards a healthier life. I enjoy being alongside my patients throughout their health care journey.”
On Interior Community Health Center
“Being a transplant from Utah, I am excited to be in the beautiful state of Alaska and with the wonderful people at Interior Community Health Center (ICHC). There is a great community here within the Interior and ICHC that I am glad to be a part of.”
Ms. Beckstead’s areas of interest within medicine include mental health, disease prevention, chronic disease management, and women’s health. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband, skiing, running, and swimming outdoors.
