On Patients
“I actively listen to patients to understand their identity and perspective. We all have a journey and experience situations in our life that affect why, how, and when we access health care. I prioritize evidence-based health education and holistic care.”
On Primary Health Care
“I have worked in integrated health care systems within large academic medical centers of the lower 48, community hospitals, native health corporations, and various rural clinics including those in Unalaska, Nome, Bethel, and Soldotna. The benefits of these systems include continuing medical education, exposure to different perspectives, and interdepartmental collaboration.”
On Interior Community Health Center
“Our family medical home creates a positive structured environment in which I may provide health care to individuals regardless of ability to pay. I enjoy the days when I work alongside our behavioral health case manager, medical assistant, and registered nurse to troubleshoot a health action plan.”
